Lisa Anne Porter is an executive leadership and presence coach with twenty years of private coaching experience. Her corporate clients include Facebook, Master Card, Applied Predictive Technologies, The Brattle Group, Cornerstone Research, Analysis Group, Mastercard, Kaiser, Genentech, Gartner, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and Wells Fargo Bank. She is currently the Head of Voice and Dialects at the American Conservatory Theatre where the MFA program is currently ranked third in the nation. She is also a Lecturer at the University of California, Berkeley where she teaches public speaking, voice, and acting.
Lisa’s private clients have included consulting services professionals, business executives, lawyers, doctors, scientists, professors, newscasters, computer specialists, ministers, docents, and performers. In recent coaching engagements, Lisa has supported clients requiring coaching for: testifying at court hearings, strengthening testimony through vocal and performance techniques, and developing confidence when in a deposition or on the stand; preparing for TV interviews and public media appearances; utilizing effective communication practices to strengthen internal relationships and executive leadership style; and developing persuasive vocal techniques in relationship building and presentation contexts.
Lisa has held several leadership and faculty roles at Syracuse University, Stanford University, San Francisco State University, Shakespeare & Company, The Tepper Center in NYC, Naropa University, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, and the California Shakespeare Theatre. Lisa is a certified Linklater voice teacher and has coached voice and dialect in over sixty professional productions nationwide. Her B.A. is in Theatre and American Studies from Wesleyan University and her M.F.A. is from the American Conservatory Theatre.
